Presentation of St. Petersburg in Florence Italy
About relations with Italy

Held since 2010, within the Agreement about Cooperation between the Culture Committee of St. Petersburg and the Government of the Provincia di Firenze

The project presents St. Petersburg culture for Italian audiences, contributes to joint artistic activities of Italian and Russian actors, singers and musicians.

  • Brilliant St. Petersburg in Florence (2010)
  •  Journey from St. Petersburg to Toscana.  In the frame-work of The Year of Russian Culture and Russian Language in Italy (2011)
  • St. Petersburg Evenings in Florence (2012, 2013)

The program consists of classic music concerts, music-drama evenings, performances of opera and ballet soloists, actors of well-known music theatres from St. Petersburg.  The concerts are attended by Italian performers and musicians.  In 2012, the project was realized under the title “Young Virtuosos”.  In 2013, performance staged by Riccardo Sottili I believe! I don’t… with participation of Russian and Italian actors was shown in the frame-work of the Festival.

Russian National Culture Festival (Rome, Italy)

In the frame-work of the Year of Russia in Italy the RUSSIAN CONSTELLATION Festival took place in Rome on June 12, 2011.  It was dated to celebration of the Day of Russia.


During the Festival people in Italy could learn more about culture variety of Russian modern life.

Piazza Navona, one of the central squares in Rome, was chosen as place for the concert.

The gala-concert with participation of Russian national companies became the main event of the Festival.

This World is Ours!

International Children Forum (Terracina, Italy)

This World is Ours! International Russian-Italian Children Forum took place in May – June, 2011.  It furthered contacts of youth from two countries, allowed new generation of Russians to learn more about Italy, and Italian children and teenagers – get to know about artistic activities of their contemporaries from Russia.

The Forum program included fancy-dress processions, concerts of leading children companies from Russia and Italy.
