Baltic Star International Award for Developing and Consolidating Humanitarian Relations in Countries of the Baltic Region

The awards ceremony takes place yearly since 2004 in October in the frame-work of the BALTIC HOUSE Festival.

Venue – St. Petersburg, Hermitage Theatre

Regardless all variety of existing awards this is the only one which rewards deserts of culture and art workers, representatives of artistic intelligentsia, official and business circles in development of culture relations between the countries of the Baltic region.

Among the BALTIC STAR winners are Mikhail Piotrovskii, Lev Dodin, Andrzej Waida, John Neumeier, Aleksandr Sokurov, Aki Kaurismäki, Krzysztof Penderecki, Raimond Pauls, Krzysztof Zanussi, Daniel Olbrychski, Valerii Fokin, Yuri Temirkanov, Valentina Matviyenko, Juozas Budraitis, Barbara Brylska, Valery Gergiev, Rodion Shchedrin, Maya Plisetskaya, Rimas Tuminas, Oleg Basilashvili and other prominent culture workers.
