The Festival is aimed at support of Russian citizens living in different states, increasing interest of residents in the Baltic region to Russian culture, consolidation of humanitarian and artistic relations between Baltic states and St. Petersburg. The project is purposed for children audiences.The Fairy Tale Festival is organized since 2007, in November-December.
The project is realized in conjunction with the Russian Culture Center in Tallinn.
The Festival is held in Tallinn (Estonia). In different years Riga (Latvia) and Narva (Estonia) joined the action.
Due to the Festival young audiences in the Baltic countries may see the best children performances from St. Petersburg. One of the main goals is to create a real festive atmosphere. That is why in addition to theatre performances the Festival program always includes exhibitions of children pictures, artistic meetings and workshops.
Participants in the Festival were the best St. Petersburg companies – Big Puppets Theatre, BALTIC HOUSE Theatre Festival, Buff Theatre, Theatre Na Liteinom, V.F. Kommisarzhevskaya Theatre, Lensovet Theatre, N.P. Akimov Comedy Theatre, Masterskaya Theatre, Philharmonic Hall for Children and Youth.
